Terms and Conditions for Clap & Craft Independent Film Festival (CCIFF)

By submitting a film to the Clap & Craft Independent Film Festival (CCIFF), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Eligibility and Originality
- Original Work: All submitted films must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe upon any copyrights, trademarks, or third-party rights.
- Permissions: Entrants are responsible for securing all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions for music, images, sound, or other intellectual property used in their film.
CCIFF is not liable for any copyright infringement or unauthorized use of content in submitted films. - Festival Team Ineligibility: Members of the CCIFF organizing committee, selection panel, or jury are not eligible to participate as contestants.
2. Submission and Screening
- Right to Refuse: CCIFF reserves the right to disqualify or refuse to screen any film for reasons deemed valid by the organizing committee, including but not limited to legal,
ethical, or quality concerns. - Prohibited Content: Films containing racial, religious, regional discrimination, or any
offensive or unlawful content will be disqualified. Entrants may face legal action under the
Indian Penal Code and Indian Media Laws for such violations. - Non-Exclusive Rights: By submitting a film, entrants retain full ownership and rights to
their work but grant CCIFF non-exclusive rights to screen and promote the film as part of
festival programming and promotional activities.
3. Underage Participants
- Winners under the age of 18 must provide a signed affidavit countersigned by a parent or
legal guardian. CCIFF reserves the right to verify the authenticity of these affidavits.
4. Festival Branding
- The name "Clap & Craft Independent Film Festival," its official logo, and laurels may not be used for commercial, non-commercial, cultural, or personal purposes without prior written permission from the CCIFF committee.
- Unauthorized use will result in strict legal action, with proceedings subject to the jurisdiction of the High Courts of India.
5. Legal Jurisdiction
- All disputes, violations, or claims related to CCIFF will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the High Courts of India
6. Liability
- CCIFF is not responsible for any loss, damage, or legal consequences arising from the
submission, screening, or use of a film, including issues related to copyright or third-party
rights.
7. Amendments
- CCIFF reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on the official CCIFF website (insert website URL if applicable).
By submitting a film, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
